Going stir crazy? Want to make a difference? Join us this weekend for COVID Hacks.
We’re looking for hackers, biologists, makers, and anyone with a desire to help.
COVID Hacks is the global online event where quarantined students spend 36 hours building tools to help those affected by the pandemic. Make new friends, improve your hacking skills, and do what you can to bring this pandemic to an end.
To make the hackathon more productive and helpful, we're guiding hackers into four different tracks, each designed to solve unique challenges posed by the global crisis.
How can we help healthcare workers combat the virus?
How can we reduce the impact of widespread shelter-in-place policies?
How can we use data to improve our response or better inform the public?
What insights can we discover from COVID-19 biological data?
Anyone who wants to make a difference! A technical background isn’t required.
We’re also reaching out to makers who might be interested in producing personal protective equipment or other devices that hospitals are running low on.

Online! We will be using a variety of online collaboration tools to make it feel like an in-person hackathon, but you will be able to participate from anywhere.
The hackathon starts at 6PM EST (10PM UTC), March 27 to March 29.
Schedule coming soon!
You and your team will pick a track to work on and create solutions for those affected by COVID-19.
Prizes will be announced soon!
Groups of up to 4 individuals may work together.
We will have a team formation channel in Slack for you to meet others. If you have an idea for a project post it and people can join you. If you don’t have any idea you can look at the other projects and join one that looks interesting.
